✨5 LIMITED EDITION PRINTS✨
The artwork is a big part of the music, and we've printed a very limited number of the original photo by Janina Sabaliauskaite to celebrate the EP release.
If you order one of these limited edition prints you will get
>> 12x16inch signed original print
>> 1x Seabird CD
>> 1x packet of wildflower seeds
>> 1x extra download code
Janina's attention to details means these prints are printed on specific paper to go with the tones of the print, and have been hand printed in the darkroom in Newcastle!
There's no digital editing of this photo, which leaves an element of magic when playing with double exposure.. Janina's eye for when to shoot and seeing patterns and balance, and waiting for moments.. This is a pretty special chance to own a print by Janina!
The prints will be labelled 1-5, with the first order getting the first print.
I'll be donating £5 from any orders to @medicalaidpal

‘Not just a highlight of this week's programme from Green Man festival, but I think a highlight from all of the programmes that we’ve had the privilege and honour to broadcast from Green Man Festival. Sublime and absolutely outstanding’- Adam Walton BBC Radio Wales, August 2023
‘Today it’s an artist who’s gonna do for the cello what Mary Lattimore has for the harp, i.e. make it achingly cool.” - Velvet Sheep
Ceitidh Mac releases new EP ‘Seabird’ on 10th November. This 6 track EP encapsulates the sound of alt.folk cellist/singer, exploring further the possibilities of combining live cello and vocals, with the warm bass frequencies of the analogue synth, alongside vibraphone, drums and tenor guitar.
Ceitidh started writing the tracks whilst away on a residency with electronic producer Laurel Halo.. Asked ‘what is your urgency?’ ‘Why do you make music.?’. Ceitidh Mac started to dig deeper into her reasonings.. To explore the sounds of live and electronic, to digest the world we live in and the way people react to it. Exploring her musical identity as a singing cellist, and the possibilities of sounds using analogue synths with all natural reverbs to create a sonic world that’s explorative, gently bold and progressive.. Folk melodies mixed with jazz influences, and absorbing in its originality.
Recorded by Sam Grant (Pigsx7, Richard Dawson) at Blank Studios in Newcastle, this EP also features a collaboration with London based contemporary jazz singer B-ahwe.
All the artwork for this EP is focused on analogue film photography by Janina Sabaliauskaite, who is a Lithuanian photographer based in Newcastle. Exploring double exposure techniques with no digital editing, Ceitidh and Janina wanted to create artwork that merged patterns in nature with the human form. The photos feature rock formations from the Northumbrian coastline.

Although I do agree I'd prefer more focus on the IRS era, this is a really solid collection of covers that delivers some unique takes. Totally inspired me to go back and listen to the original albums as well. Jean-Paul DuQuette
